This Pentacon Bellows Unit was designed for the Pentacon Six medium format SLR system to provide stepless extension between camera body and lens in order to achieve significantly greater close focusing distances and increased macro magnifications. Pentacon lenses mount to the front of this bellows unit where a lever depresses the aperture pin of the lens, locking the aperture wide open for easier viewing and focusing.  A cable release must be threaded into the front of the unit and depressed in order for the lens aperture to be closed down to selected aperture settings.
